Summary
Stand Together Fellowships runs the Koch Internship Program, providing early-career professionals with experiential learning, professional development, and meaningful work with nonprofit organizations. The intern will support the Foundation for Economic Education’s Education Entrepreneurship Lab by creating content, engaging with families and founders, supporting conference planning, identifying opportunities, and monitoring education policy trends.
Responsibilities
- Drafting articles and website content
- Creating social media posts
- Interacting with families and founders interested in finding or building new schools and learning models
- Helping with conference presentation planning
- Identifying new opportunities for the Lab
- Staying up-to-date on education policy trends
Skills
- Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates
- Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program
- Strong interest in education and entrepreneurship, including alternative and emerging learning models such as homeschooling and microschooling
- Excellent communication skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset
- An understanding of education policy trends
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration at all levels
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and willingness to learn new software and tools
- Independent and team-oriented, demonstrating a proactive and positive approach to work
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative and resourceful mindset
- A background in economics or related majors desired, but not required
- An understanding of education policy trends preferred
- Previous publishing experience a plus
