Summary
StoCastic is transforming the delivery of healthcare through innovative products and services that utilize large-scale electronic health record data. They are seeking a Software Engineer (Analytics Focus) to perform data analytics, support cloud-computing infrastructure, and translate research algorithms into scalable software.
Responsibilities
- Performing data analytics and processing to clinical data; statistical computing, machine learning, data mining, optimization, simulation
- Creating, maintaining, and integrating large-scale databases
- Supporting and developing cloud-computing infrastructure that inter-operate with clinical information systems
- Working independently to learn and translate research algorithms to scalable software
- Applying systems analysis techniques to gather business requirements and translate to functional/technical specifications
- Communicate work products verbally and through internal and client presentations
- Document technical work and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field
- Experience in developing software applications (i.e. Agile, Scrum, SDLC)
- Ability to translate technical nature of an approach to non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a dynamic team
