Job description
Summary
Strategic Employment Partners is hiring a Remote Data Scientist for a fast-growing fintech company. The role focuses on applying Python, SQL, statistics, and machine learning to product and risk questions, collaborating with engineers and analysts, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Apply Python, SQL, and applied statistics/ML to real product and risk questions
- Working closely with engineers and analysts
- Presenting those findings to internal and external stakeholders
Skills
- Solid Python and SQL experience
- Foundational statistics (hypothesis testing, regression analysis, experimental design)
- Applied ML exposure (e.g. scikit-learn)
- Location: Remote -
- They're open to anyone located in the US
- Experience working in a start-up or on a fast paced team
- Statistical Risk modelling experience
- This client is based in NYC and would love to find a candidate in the NY area who can come in now and then
