Summary
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, providing services that help companies accept payments, grow revenue, and pursue new business opportunities. The Designer, Web Presence & Platform will design and improve high-impact web experiences across stripe.com, collaborate with cross-functional teams, evolve reusable design systems, and use research and data to create clear, engaging, and visually excellent pages.
Responsibilities
- Design new and improved experiences across stripe.com, including product, industry, and solution landing pages
- Collaborate with engineers, PMMs, and content designers to define problems, explore solutions, and bring them to life
- Partner with other designers to maintain and evolve systems that uphold Stripe’s design standards at scale
- Balance storytelling with usability to create pages that are engaging, credible, and easy to navigate
- Use user research, user testing, and data to guide and validate your decisions
- Participate in critique and feedback sessions, contributing to the overall quality bar of the team
- Demonstrate a meticulous attention to craft—ensuring designs are not only functional, but visually excellent
Skills
- 2–4 years of relevant design experience, ideally in web or product marketing contexts
- A strong portfolio of web design work that demonstrates exceptional visual design skills, systems thinking, and attention to detail
- Ability to independently scope and lead small to medium-sized projects
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Fluency in layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and interaction fundamentals
- Comfortable using Figma and working in component-based systems
- Experience working on CMS-driven websites and modular systems
- Familiarity with front-end development workflows or an ability to speak fluently with engineers
- Understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices
- Experience designing for international audiences or multilingual websites
- Previous experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
