Summary
Switch designs, builds, and operates data centers that enable the technology of the future. The Information Security Analyst II helps protect systems, applications, and data by monitoring security activity, investigating incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, and supporting risk and compliance programs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events and logs from firewalls, endpoint tools, intrusion detection systems, web proxies, and other security sources
- Investigate security incidents and support corrective actions to reduce the risk of recurrence
- Conduct vulnerability scans and risk assessments to identify security weaknesses
- Track identified vulnerabilities and security risks through resolution
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards
- Support compliance activities for applicable security regulations and frameworks, including SOX, HITRUST, and ISO
- Assist with security audits, evidence collection, and compliance reviews
- Support security awareness training and help employees understand security requirements
- Work with IT, Legal, and other teams to address security issues and maintain security controls
- Prepare clear reports on security incidents, risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance activities
Skills
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related IT role
- Working knowledge of network and system security, including firewalls, endpoint protection, authentication, and access controls
- Experience monitoring and analyzing security events, alerts, or logs
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms and vulnerability scanners
- Experience supporting incident response, vulnerability management, or security risk assessments
- Ability to analyze security information and document findings clearly
- Working knowledge of security standards, controls, or compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GCIH, GIAC, or similar
