Systems Analyst, AWS Connect Focus, Progression

Summary

Tampa Electric Company is looking for a Systems Analyst with a focus on AWS Connect. The role involves developing applications, implementing software packages, and providing 24x7 application support while collaborating on all phases of the software development life-cycle.

Responsibilities

• Develops software of limited complexity based on specifications provided
• Implements software packages for which limited configuration and integration is required with minimal vendor contact
• Integrates applications where the complexity of interfaces is limited and based on specifications provided
• Provides 24x7 primary support for one or more applications typically classified as ‘niche’ or ‘core’, but not ‘mission-critical’. May provide secondary support for mission-critical applications
• Supports the request and analysis phases of SDLC by assisting with documentation and estimates
• Executes the design, development, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing the prescribed deliverables under the guidance of more senior staff
• Participates on an Application Development and Support team as well as project teams under the direction of their manager, senior team members, or project managers
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of business areas relevant to projects and application support assignments
• Acquires and maintains appropriate technical skills

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, additional years related experience may be considered
• Minimum one year of experience in systems analysis, design, and development. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum high school diploma and 4+ additional years related experience may be considered
• Two years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum high school diploma and 4+ additional years related experience may be considered
• Six years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum high school diploma and 4+ additional years related experience may be considered
• Ten years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development
• Working knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies. Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies
• Good verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate their role, project goals, and timelines
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Comprehends technical design specifications and possesses knowledge of development tools and technologies in support of the Information Technology Architecture
• Certifications in specific job-related disciplines are preferred
• At least one professional certification in specific job-related disciplines
• Four years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development
• One or more professional certifications in specific job-related disciplines
• Two or more professional certifications in specific job-related disciplines
• Twelve years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development
