Job description

Summary

Tech Consulting is hiring junior Cloud Engineers through a full-time, paid cloud engineering bootcamp and placement program. The role focuses on building, securing, deploying, and scaling enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with training in automation, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.

Skills

  • * Have 1+ year of professional scripting or coding experience — Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar used regularly in their role
  • * Are comfortable in a Linux terminal — SSH, file management, process control, and command-line tooling
  • * Understand how networks work — DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, and basic routing concepts
  • * Have deployed, hosted, or maintained at least one application or service — even a personal project
  • * Have worked with REST APIs in code — calling endpoints, parsing JSON, handling authentication
  • * Use Git for version control in a team environment — branching, pull requests, and collaborative workflows
  • * Are willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA for training and to client sites for project assignments
  • * Scripting: 1+ year of scripting or coding professionally — Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar used regularly as a core job function
  • * Linux: Comfortable in a Linux terminal — SSH, file navigation, process management, and command-line tooling used regularly
  • * Networking: Networking fundamentals — DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, and basic routing concepts
  • * APIs: REST API experience in code — calling endpoints, parsing JSON responses, handling authentication in scripts
  • * Git: Git version control in a team environment — branching, pull requests, and collaborative code workflows
  • * Databases: Basic database knowledge — SQL queries, relational vs NoSQL concepts, and how databases connect to applications
  • * OOP: OOP fundamentals — understanding of classes, functions, and structured code in at least one language
  • * Location: Willingness to relocate anywhere in the US for training and to work onsite at client locations
  • * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • * Strong candidates without a degree who have demonstrable scripting, systems, and infrastructure experience are also considered
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are required for all client-facing roles
  • * Any hands-on cloud platform experience: AWS, Azure, or GCP — even personal free-tier projects or labs
  • * Container experience: Docker, VMs, or any virtualization technology
  • * Infrastructure-as-code basics: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Bicep
  • * CI/CD or DevOps tool experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps
  • * Cloud security or IAM basics: roles, permissions, RBAC, security groups, or encryption
  • * Cloud certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure AZ-900, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, or CompTIA Cloud+
  • * Active GitHub with scripts, config files, IaC code, or deployment projects
