Job description
Summary
TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking a Security Analyst to join their Global Security team. The role involves establishing scripting standards, developing scripts in Python, and providing automation support to manage a high volume of incident reports.
Responsibilities
- Establishing scripting standards and processes (e.g. pep8 standards and code review processes)
- Working with other scripters/teams for a common goal
- Primary contact for new script creation
- Working with automation via APIs
- Providing support for existing scripts
- Tactical script development when necessary
Skills
- Highly familiar with Python 3
- Familiarity with Python 2.7 is also helpful
- Good eye for detail
- Ability to anticipate failure points
- Good logic skills
- Good communication and soft skills
- IT Security background would be a plus but is not essential for this position
- Database experience (high level SQL)
- Webserver experience
- Batch Scripting experience
Qualifications
Must Haves
- Highly familiar with Python 3
- Familiarity with Python 2.7 is also helpful
- Good eye for detail
- Ability to anticipate failure points
- Good logic skills
- Good communication and soft skills
Nice to Haves
- IT Security background would be a plus but is not essential for this position
