Summary
Telaré Law is a litigation-focused firm committed to securing compensation for injured clients through assertive, trial-ready courtroom advocacy. The Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys throughout civil litigation by managing case files, preparing legal documents, coordinating discovery, tracking deadlines, communicating with stakeholders, and assisting with hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Responsibilities
- The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including organizing and maintaining case files, preparing and reviewing legal documents, and coordinating discovery
- Daily responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, assisting with legal research, managing deadlines and court calendars, and communicating with clients, experts, and court personnel in a professional manner
- The role also involves assembling trial binders, preparing exhibits, and supporting attorneys during hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial
- The paralegal is expected to work collaboratively with the legal team while managing multiple cases and priorities with accuracy and discretion
Skills
- Strong skills in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Legal Research, including using legal databases and summarizing findings for attorney review
- Experience drafting and formatting Pleadings and Motions in compliance with court rules and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear, professional client and court interactions
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment
- Comfort with legal practice management software, document management systems, and standard office applications
- Paralegal certificate, associate or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Prior experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant preferred; personal injury or civil litigation experience is a plus
