Job description

Summary

The Association of Professional Football Analysis is seeking an Academy Performance Analyst Intern to join FC Cincinnati's Academy Performance Analysis department. This internship offers valuable experience in performance analysis at an elite level, focusing on capturing training sessions and providing analytical feedback to coaches and players.

Responsibilities

  • Capture academy training sessions and code both live and post-training
  • Use the data captured in training to provide feedback to coaches and players
  • Capture academy fixtures home and away when required (live and post-match)
  • Label academy fixtures generating KPIs at both individual and team level
  • Create educational videos using 1st-team and other-league footage to demonstrate best practice
  • Produce post-match analysis video for players and coaches
  • Work with the club's data analyst to create benchmarking for academy players
  • Complete any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Performance Analysis and Director of Player Development

Skills

  • Good technical and tactical soccer knowledge
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work unsocial hours including evenings
  • Ability to work under pressure for long hours
  • Superb organisational skills
  • Represent FC Cincinnati's family-friendly brand in all capacities
  • Working toward a Performance Analysis or sports-related degree
  • Soccer coaching qualifications (US Soccer D or equivalent)
