In 2003, our manufacturing facility was established in the South Industrial Park of Terre Haute, Indiana. Your Responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Steering is seeking a highly motivated student with an interest in developing next-generation steering systems for autonomous vehicles. They will join a global R&D team in Fishers, Indiana, and will receive a high-level overview of the steering industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Various support projects in the North American R&D departments (benchmarking, CAD, system integration, testing, acoustics, and prototyping) involving software and hardware focuses.
    • Design, order, implement, and troubleshoot printed circuit boards (PCBs) for automotive applications.
    • Software coding and debugging
    • Participate in automotive industry testing and integration activities.
    • Demonstrate a strong interest in the automotive industry, including customer needs, market trends, and strategic direction.
    • Exhibit motivation to succeed in a high energy level in a fast-paced environment.
    • Apply a basic understanding of basic business practices.
    • Display self-confidence and professionalism in interactions.
    • Work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
    • Flexibility and willingness to travel
    • Collaborate as a team player.
    • Manage multiple assignments by setting priorities and adapting to changing conditions.
    • Maintain strong organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
    • Operate as a self-starter who is committed to meeting deadlines.

Your Profile

Working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering- Software, Hardware, E/E, and Mechatronics preferred. Experience in interacting with different cultures is beneficial.
