Software Engineer

Summary

Tilled is a software platform that provides B2B SaaS companies and ISVs with the benefits of becoming a Payment Facilitator through PayFac-as-a-Service. The Software Engineer will contribute across the entire technology stack, developing, deploying, and maintaining reliable services while improving system quality, performance, and observability. The role also involves collaborating with a remote engineering team and promoting a learning-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, deploy, and maintain Tilled services
• Design and implement highly reliable, fault tolerant systems
• Collect and visualize detailed telemetry data to continuously improve systems
• Advance and adhere to high-quality coding practices – unit testing, pair programming
• End-to-end responsibility – continuously monitor and improve the services you create
• Promote an engineering team culture that is always learning, motivated and collaborative
• Work with a variety of technologies – Typescript, Angular, NodeJS, Postgres

Skills

• Authorized to work in the United States
• 2+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of web application framework experience such as NodeJS
• 2+ years of database related experience such as Postgres
• You function with confidence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• You work seamlessly in a remote dispersed team environment
• Experience with Angular or Typescript preferred
• Experience in a start-up preferred
• Experience with AWS preferred
• Experience implementing payment systems – Stripe, Braintree preferred
• Experience optimizing production systems for performance, quality and reliability preferred
