Job description

Summary

Trellix is a global cybersecurity company providing an open, AI-enabled platform to help organizations protect against advanced threats. The Junior Solutions Engineer supports commercial and enterprise sales teams by gathering customer requirements, delivering technical demonstrations, contributing to RFP and RFI responses, and managing proofs of value. The role also assists technical account engagement, executive briefings, beta programs, and ongoing presales learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support Technical Wins: Partner with sales reps and senior engineers during client calls and visits to qualify technical requirements and present solution capabilities
  • Requirements Gathering: Assist in discovering customer business needs, mapping security challenges, and aligning them with solution use cases
  • Demos & Presentations: Deliver clear, effective technical demonstrations and assist in presenting solution proposals to key stakeholders
  • RFP/RFI Response Support: Contribute to technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires with guidance from presales leadership
  • Proof of Value (POV) Execution: Help manage and execute proof-of-value activities to demonstrate solution performance against customer evaluation criteria
  • Technical Account Assistance: Build rapport with technical contacts in target accounts, help address technical inquiries alongside Support, and identify expansion opportunities
  • Executive Briefings & Betas: Support technical setup and demonstrations for Executive Briefings, customer beta programs, and early adopter initiatives
  • Continuous Learning & Feedback: Actively participate in presales enablement programs, stay current on security trends, and share customer insights with Product teams

Skills

  • 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, presales support, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or technical support
  • Foundational knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Cloud & Virtualization Security
  • Data Protection & Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Network Security, Web Proxies, or SD-WAN
  • Workload & Container Security
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
  • Precision in capturing technical requirements and assisting with accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) creation
  • Strong curiosity, high coachability, and a drive to expand cybersecurity and presales skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Trellix Security Solutions & Architectures (a plus)
  • Relevant introductory or intermediate certifications preferred (e.g., Security+, Network+, AWS/Azure Fundamentals, CCNA, or vendor security certifications)
