Summary
Tygart Technology, Inc. provides information technology and software development services to public and commercial sector customers. The Systems Engineer will support a Department of Justice client by maintaining computer systems, servers, virtualization environments, web services, and SFTP connections, while developing and upgrading automated data integration solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization environments
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing their impact
- Develop, maintain, and utilize automated tools to support all components of data integration services
- Support and maintain web services and SFTP connections
- Develop and utilize various ETL products and other automated data integration tools
- Recommend and implement standardization across the data integration process
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade existing data integration projects, including the integration of new vendor solutions
Skills
- Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Clarksburg, WV, to accommodate periodic onsite requirements
- An active Top Secret security clearance is required
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience creating and maintaining data applications and tools that support the data integration process
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and assisting agencies with Web Services Description Language (WSDL), Java KeyStore (JKS), security certificates, and encryption usage
- Strong background in developing and troubleshooting software tools, applications, and utilities using languages such as Python, Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), and JavaScript
- Experience configuring and maintaining computer systems across Windows, Unix, and Linux platforms
