Job description

Summary

Utah County Government’s Information Systems department provides technology support to county government agencies, including infrastructure, applications, security, and information-use policy. The DevOps Engineer executes tools and processes that bridge programming teams and IT operations to improve the deployment of IT applications, processes, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general guidance and supervision of the DevOps Team Supervisor and department administration, executes tools and processes to bridge the gap between programming teams and IT operations and better deploy IT applications, processes, and systems

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a closely related field
  • Four (4) years of IT systems or network administration, computer programming, or computer technical support
  • Demonstratable work competence in DevOps functions, system administration, or advanced programming
  • Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and demonstrated work competence may also be considered
  • Applicants must possess a valid driver's license
  • Two (2) years of experience in a DevOps role
  • Demonstratable advanced knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization technologies
  • More demonstrated work competence
