Summary
Venture Global LNG is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The CSU IC Advisor will provide safety leadership, coordinate instrument technicians and construction support craft, oversee assigned instrumentation and systems, and support commissioning, testing, training, and turnover activities.
Responsibilities
- Hold and/or attend Daily Safety Meetings
- Attend or conduct Daily Leads Meeting
- Lead and require strict adherence to Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures (LOTO), work permits, and company policies
- Review and spot check Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) audits for department
- Utilize scope packages and necessary forms for completed turnover packages
- Utilize work packages associated with system testing
- Utilize test procedures for component and system testing
- Redline all drawings and specification data sheets to ensure accurate “As-Built” information and drawings
- Promote and require good housekeeping in the office and on the project site
- Review and update min/max and available spare parts and consumables for commissioning
- Troubleshoot and isolate system problems and propose solutions to CSU IC Field Specialist
- Checkout installed systems and equipment adhering to OEM requirements, system descriptions, and good industry standard practice
- Track the progress of assigned systems and provide CSU IC Field Specialist with timely reports on progress and activities
- Perform construction process assessments during system pre-Mechanical Complete (MC) walk-downs and identify exceptions, and deficiencies
- Directs commissioning and testing of individual components, systems, and the station as a complete integrated unit to meet all contractual obligations
Skills
- Associate degree in electronics or Instrumentation from a University or Technical School, and/or job-related experience and minimum of 2-3 years' experience
- Must have the ability to read and understand P&ID's, Loop Drawings, Cause & Effect's, Electrical One-Lines, and Schematics
- Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), MS Office Suite
- Must have recent knowledge of (PLC, DCS, SIS, etc.) and Field Instrumentation
- Experience with electrical, instrumentation and control systems codes and standards, including ISA, NEC, and API is required
- Associate degree in electronics or Instrumentation from a University or Technical School, and/or job-related experience and minimum of 5 years' experience
- Must have the ability to read and understand P&ID's, Loop Drawings, Cause & Effect's, Electrical One-Lines, and Schematics
- Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), MS Office Suite
- Must have recent knowledge of (PLC, DCS, SIS, etc.) and Field Instrumentation
- Experience with electrical, instrumentation and control systems codes and standards, including ISA, NEC, and API is required
- Associate degree in electronics or Instrumentation from a University or Technical School, and/or job-related experience and minimum of 7-9 years' experience
- Must have the ability to read and understand P&ID's, Loop Drawings, Cause & Effect's, Electrical One-Lines, and Schematics
- Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), MS Office Suite
- Must have recent knowledge of (PLC, DCS, SIS, etc.) and Field Instrumentation
- Experience with electrical, instrumentation and control systems codes and standards, including ISA, NEC, and API is required
- Experience as an Instrument Supervisor on at least (1) mid to large size project during the construction, commissioning, and initial start-up phases of a project is preferred
