Design Engineer

Summary

VIKA Maryland, LLC is a company that offers diverse civil engineering projects, and they are seeking a Design Engineer. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects involving all aspects of civil engineering for private- and public-sector clients.

Responsibilities

• Work on various tasks within a diverse, multi-disciplinary design team including civil engineers, planners, surveyors, landscape architects, and CAD drafters
• Design and prepare engineering documents for specific design components of a project, including sediment erosion control, storm drain design and computations, water and sewer design, grade establishment plans, maintenance of traffic plans, and right-of-way improvement plans
• Coordinate efforts with clients, agencies, consultants, and VIKA staff

Skills

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 0-3 years' experience in Civil Engineering
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working towards it within the next year

Qualifications

Must Haves

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 0-3 years' experience in Civil Engineering
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Nice to Haves

• Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working towards it within the next year
