Summary
Woolpert is a global provider of architecture, engineering, and geospatial services. The company is seeking a Site Civil Engineer (PE) to support land development engineering projects through site design, plan production, design calculations, permitting, and technical leadership. The role also includes mentoring junior staff, coordinating with project teams and municipalities, and performing occasional field work and travel.
Responsibilities
- Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs
- Provide technical support and lead site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management
- Coordinate permitting with County and local municipalities. Experience with local municipalities is a plus
- Multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks
- Work with project management team to identify impediments and develop / implement solutions to overcome obstacles
- Perform pavement assessments and compiling data and reports
- Occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4 years related experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking and Storm and Sanitary Analysis software packages, PondPack, and Microsoft Suite products
- Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to provide excellent client service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment
- Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals
- Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology preferred
