Summary
Wycliffe Bible Translators is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving translation teams worldwide. The Web Developer will build, maintain, and improve websites and software applications that support language development and Bible translation work, while collaborating with the team on product roadmaps, site upgrades, and functionality improvements.
Responsibilities
- Builds, designs, and maintains websites and software applications
- Designs, writes, and edits website content
- Executes assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs
- Participate as an integral and enthusiastic part of the team, exhibiting ownership, follow-through, initiative, awareness, and effective communication with peers and management
- Work with the team around a cohesive product roadmap
- Analyze software requirements by consulting with the user community
- Support user community with developer-level support
- Write technical reference documentation for managing websites
- Participate in regular project status, planning, partnership, and strategic meetings
- Be available to travel to meet with the larger development team at least once per year
- Be available to travel biannually to the Language Technology Conference
- Participate in professional conferences and meetings
