Electrical Designer (Remote)

Summary

ZELUS is a company that focuses on supporting complex construction projects through advanced design techniques. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed 3D models, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D models using Revit, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure consistency and coordination across disciplines
• Use clash detection software such as Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between building systems
• Coordinate closely with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure integrated, clash-free designs
• Provide remote coordination and support for field operations, ensuring accurate integration of 3D scans and field data into project models
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, drawings, and schedules required by project teams
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of all models, adhering to project standards and deadlines
• Stay current with advancements in BIM and VDC technologies, applying knowledge to improve modeling processes and project outcomes
• Utilize collaboration tools such as BIM360 to enhance communication and model accessibility

Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in VDC/BIM and construction modeling
• Minimum of 2 year of experience in Electrical project coordination
• Proficiency in Revit is required, with the ability to create and manage detailed 3D models
• Experience in electrical trades
• Experience in LOD 350-400 Electrical work
• Proficiency in sleeve drawings, embedded filed points, coordinating shop drawings
• Ability to read and interpret construction documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve design and coordination challenges
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in remote environments
• Attention to detail and focus on accuracy in model creation and data input
• Familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360 is preferred
• Knowledge of MEP systems and their integration into the modeling process is preferred
