  • Build features that support multi-tenancy, linked accounts, policy management, and the admin console experience
  • Contribute to the team’s transition from a monolithic application toward a microservice architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases
  • Coordinate with partner teams working in areas such as authentication and authorization, insights, and managed service providers
  • Work with your teammates and project manager to communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and solve technical problems in a scalable and realistic way

  • Generate and review documentation on code and development processes to ensure scalability
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and development best practices
  • Be available for on-call rotational work to ensure uninterrupted support and resolve emergencies

Skills

  • You have 2+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience with a modern backend language (e.g. Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Python)
  • A drive for and proven experience in software development best practices and coding standards
  • You enjoy solving moderately complex problems and have demonstrated an ability to propose effective solutions
  • You enjoy communicating and collaborating, with experience working effectively across teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional partners
  • You're passionate about testing methodologies and debugging techniques that ensure high-quality code
  • You're comfortable working across multiple services and collaborating with other teams to deliver complete, impactful solutions
  • This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US
  • Remote work at 1Password does mean working from your home country

Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to: annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events
  • Experience with DevOps practices while also contributing to application development
