Engineering & Maintenance Technician

Summary

3D Systems Corporation is a leader in additive manufacturing and is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Technician. This role provides hands-on engineering support and maintenance services, focusing on both minor and major repairs, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with production teams to enhance manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with skilled tradesmen and/or engineers for the purpose of completing projects efficiently
• Design and complete small fabrication projects involving mechanical and electrical systems
• Install system component parts for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment
• Maintain tools and measurement equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability and are in safe operating condition
• Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions
• Perform a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames
• Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information
• Respond to emergency situations and equipment break downs during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
• Conduct maintenance tasks on all equipment in manufacturing
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in manufacturing on required schedule; sets required schedules if not predetermined

Skills

• 2-year Technical Degree, Trade School or equivalent experience required
• 2 years of Maintenance Technician experience required
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Mechanical or electrical fabrication experience is a plus

Qualifications

Must Haves

• 2-year Technical Degree, Trade School or equivalent experience required
• 2 years of Maintenance Technician experience required
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice to Haves

• Mechanical or electrical fabrication experience is a plus
