DevOps (Remote Position)

Accolite is a company that specializes in technology solutions, and they are seeking a DevOps Consultant for a long-term contract position. The role involves working remotely with some client site travel, requiring strong communication skills and a solid understanding of various technologies.

Skills

• Impeccable communication skills and customer focus
• Understanding of Apache HTTPd and Tomcat
• Understanding of HTTP
• Linux OS experience - BASH shell, Scripting, Package Management (YUM, YAST, RPM), OS configuration
• Quick grasp of customer requirements and the ability to translate them into technical designs
• Freemarker, AspectJ, Maven, Soy closure templates experience
• Jive application installation/upgrade experience
• Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or Postgres experience
• Understanding of virtualization fundamentals
• Proficiency across the range of J2EE technologies, particularly the Servlet API, XML, JDBC, and LDAP
• Good understanding of the JVM and ability to troubleshoot (garbage collection, heap, threads) Struts 2, Spring, etc
• Experience on the browser side (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX)
