Job description
Summary
Ace IT Careers is currently identifying candidates for QA Software Tester opportunities with employers and staffing partners across the United States. This opportunity is suitable for recent graduates and career changers interested in building a career in software testing.
Responsibilities
- Manual software testing
- Writing and executing test cases
- Functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Defect identification and reporting
- Jira and Agile/Scrum environments
- API and database validation
- Basic automation testing
- Working with QA, development, and business teams
Skills
- Strong interest in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn modern QA tools
- Previous professional QA experience is not required for all positions
- Basic understanding of software or technology preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required for every opportunity
- 0–3 years of experience in Software Testing, QA, IT, or a related area preferred
- Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, test cases, and defect reporting is preferred
- Familiarity with Manual Testing concepts
- Exposure to Jira, SQL, API Testing, or Automation Testing is an advantage
