Summary
AECOM is a global infrastructure leader committed to delivering a better world. They are seeking Data Center Quality Assurance Inspectors to inspect building systems for compliance, review contractor submissions, and oversee installation and testing of systems.
Responsibilities
- Inspect building systems, including mechanical and electrical, for compliance with contract requirements and industry standards
- Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications
- Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems, confirming proper functionality and performance
- Identify and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality control and compliance tracking
- Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts
- Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups
- Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications
- Work closely with contractors, engineers, and other inspectors to resolve issues
- Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during all time on site and in meetings
- Represent the Client in alignment with contract requirements and project deliverables
- Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure
- Coordinate GC Workplan and advise if the construction contractor fails to promptly remove, correct, or replace unacceptable construction work, and assess any delays caused by such failure
Skills
- BA/BS + four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 7 years of experience with construction and/or quality management
- CQM or other professional certifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture
