Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy interactive business intelligence dashboards using Power BI, ensuring clear visualization of operational KPIs and analytics
  • Build and maintain real‑time, high‑availability data pipelines that integrate directly with authoritative Air Force data sources (BLADE, Envision, Palantir/Foundry)
  • Perform ETL/ELT transformations, advanced DAX modeling, and data structuring to support scalable analytical environments
  • Conduct ongoing data validation, cleansing, profiling, and reconciliation to ensure analytics accuracy and integrity
  • Sustain dashboard and pipeline performance through routine O&M, including index/query tuning, version control, schema updates, and responsiveness adjustments
  • Develop standardized onboarding processes for integrating new analytical workloads into the A4 portfolio, including preparing ingest standards and technical prerequisites
  • Implement UI/UX best practices to ensure intuitive, mission‑focused dashboard navigation and interpretation
  • Engineer modular, air‑gapped data models and dashboard components designed for future SIPRNet deployment
  • Provide collaborative technical support by addressing questions from users and developers regarding data availability, system access, and dashboard functionality

Skills

  • Proficiency with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, row‑level security, and visualization optimization
  • Demonstrated experience building real‑time ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating enterprise data sources
  • Strong knowledge of modern database systems, SQL, and query optimization techniques
  • Prior work with SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS cloud environments supporting analytics workloads
  • Experience applying Agile software development practices (sprints, backlog refinement, iterative delivery)
  • Ability to design intuitive UI/UX components tailored for business intelligence and operational decision‑making
  • Experience producing technical documentation such as schema maps, data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, and version‑controlled source files
  • Ability to troubleshoot data quality issues and perform root‑cause analysis across pipeline and visualization layers
  • Familiarity with modular code design suitable for air‑gapped or multi‑network deployments
  • Experience supporting DoD, Air Force, or federal logistics/operations data environments
  • Hands‑on experience with BLADE, Envision, or Palantir/Foundry data integration
  • Experience developing SIPR‑ready analytical products or cross‑domain deployable dashboards
  • Familiarity with Flying Hours Program (FHP) analytics or aviation operations data
  • Experience onboarding complex analytical workloads into enterprise data environments
  • Background in data engineering, computer science, analytics, or related technical fields
