Outreach Intern

Summary

AllergenMaps is a drug safety platform that helps users identify hidden inactive ingredients in medications and assess potential conflicts with allergies, sensitivities, and dietary or religious needs. The Outreach Intern will support pharmacy recruitment and pilot-store operations by assisting participating pharmacies, contacting prospective pharmacies, scheduling meetings, maintaining the sales pipeline, and completing follow-up activities.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacies currently participating in the pilot program
• Identify and contact prospective pharmacies
• Conduct outbound telephone calls and schedule meetings
• Record each call in the pipeline log on the same day, using the standard format
• Document completed actions and outcomes rather than stated intentions
• Complete follow-up contacts as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills

• Ability to conduct cold calls and continue outreach after unsuccessful contacts
• Ability to speak with pharmacists in a professional manner
• Accurate, consistent record-keeping
• Ability to work without close supervision on follow-up tasks
• A background in pharmacy
• Pharmacy coursework or work experience is strongly preferred
