Summary
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a System Development Engineer to support AWS Cryptography and PKI Services. The role involves designing, deploying, monitoring, and automating infrastructure, tools, and systems to provide a resilient platform for customers' workloads.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads
- This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week in every six. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience with Linux/Unix
