Summary
Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to support U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies by implementing innovative cloud computing solutions. This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining software, developing monitoring solutions, and enhancing current software to ensure operational scalability.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues
- Developing monitoring solutions
- Performing software maintenance and configuration
- Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA, Python)
- Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges
- Working alongside development on AWS projects
- Updating/enhancing our current software
- Automation of support processes and documentation of our systems
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience with Linux/Unix
