Summary

Amazon is a leader in cloud computing and is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to support software applications that enhance the global workplace. The role involves troubleshooting software issues, developing solutions, and collaborating on AWS projects to ensure the smooth operation of systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues
  • Developing monitoring solutions
  • Performing software maintenance and configuration
  • Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA)
  • Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges
  • Working alongside development on AWS projects
  • Updating/enhancing our current software
  • Automation of support processes
  • Documentation of our systems

Skills

  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
  • 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
