Summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a cleared Systems Development Engineer to join the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team, focusing on innovative cloud computing solutions for U.S. Government agencies. The role involves troubleshooting complex system operations, developing new features for cloud services, and working with top engineers to enhance customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Region and feature builds
- Manage and monitoring systems health and status
- Provisioning devices, assisting with data ingestion, and device cleaning
- Troubleshooting device, network, and/or configuration related issues
- Identifying, documenting, and communicating engineering and operations recommendations to team members
- Writing and disseminating after action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans
- Providing on-call support when necessary
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience with Linux/Unix
