Summary

American Modern Insurance Group is part of the Munich Re company, which is one of the world’s largest reinsurance companies. They are offering a Summer Internship Program for Actuarial Interns that provides hands-on experience and opportunities to network and learn about the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands on experience
  • Meet and gain insights from the Senior Leadership Team as well as other leaders and professionals in the organization to develop lasting professional relationships
  • Networking opportunities
  • Opportunity to work with interns across various departments through participation in a Team Capstone Project
  • Hybrid work schedule to include working on-site in the office and working from home
  • Participate in community outreach
  • Opportunity to gain career advice and help you prepare for navigating your career search
  • Learn about great careers within the insurance and the impact they make
  • Potential full-time career opportunities after graduation
  • As a valued intern within our Actuary team, you will gain experience on an actuarial pricing team that prices a broad variety of products
  • You will have the opportunity for frequent interaction across multiple functions of the organization and gain real life experience and perform meaningful work that will prepare you for the right start to your career!

Skills

  • Completed Sophomore year or higher
  • GPA 3.5+
  • Major in Math, Actuarial Science, or Finance
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • The ability to work full-time for 11 weeks
  • Completion of one actuarial exam preferred
