Job description

Summary

American Modern Insurance Group is a part of Munich Re Specialty Insurance, which provides specialty property and casualty insurance solutions. The Actuarial Intern will gain knowledge about insurance data, products, pricing, and market analysis while assisting with various analytical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Rate reviews and rate level analyses
  • Assist with Market Research Analysis and Parameter (MRAP) Project
  • Perform data pull, data cleaning and management
  • Assist with Special projects and adhoc study
  • Attend meetings and trainings

Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities including understanding of advanced mathematics and statistical concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to think logically, work collaboratively, and perform analysis in a timely manner
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Strong command of Excel, WORD, PPT, Windows as well as some knowledge of programming and database such as SQL, VBA, Python, R, or ACCESS
  • College student majored in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar background requiring quantitative analysis
  • Prefer to have one (1) or more actuarial exams

Qualifications
