Summary
American Public Media Group is seeking a temporary Data Quality Analyst to improve the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across its CRM systems. The role identifies and resolves data quality issues, standardizes constituent records, follows data governance practices, and supports reliable reporting and downstream processes.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate duplicate records using defined matching criteria and business rules
- Perform record merges, ensuring preservation of key data such as giving history, contact details, and relationships
- Update and standardize constituent data, including names, addresses, email addresses, and other core fields
- Review and resolve data inconsistencies, incomplete records, and formatting issues
- Execute data cleanup activities in support of broader data quality initiatives and system improvements
- Follow established data governance standards and document handling procedures when making updates
- Handle Salesforce requests related to record merges, data corrections, and constituent updates
- Assist with ongoing data quality efforts, including validation and enrichment processes

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2-year experience with data entry, database management, data cleanup, or other relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong aptitude for learning new systems and processes
- Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and complete work within deadlines
- Ability to successfully communicate and work remotely with team members located in different states and time zones
- Strong service ethic and the ability to contribute to the overall quality of the Department
- Experience with CRM systems and/or database platforms
- Experience with data deduplication, record merging, or data quality initiatives
- Familiarity with nonprofit data structures such as households, donors, and relationships
