Summary
ARCO is a privately owned design-build construction company delivering projects nationwide. The Assistant Electrical Project Manager supports industrial electrical projects by coordinating field activities, procurement, financial administration, documentation, and communication among project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day operations of industrial electrical projects, helping ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Act as a reliable secondary point of contact for site superintendents and field crews, helping ensure they have up-to-date drawings, submittals, and material deliveries required to execute work
- Log, track, and expedite long-lead electrical equipment (such as switchgear and transformers), coordinate jobsite material deliveries, and track purchase orders to prevent field delays
- Help draft purchase orders, process subcontractor billings, assist with monthly pay applications, and compile documentation for change order requests
- Own the daily administrative workflows in our construction management software—managing, logging, and tracking RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and drawing revisions from preconstruction through project closeout
- Participate in project alignment meetings with general contractors, engineers, and clients, helping document action items, progress updates, and schedule milestones
Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or assistant project management within the commercial or industrial electrical subcontracting space
- Basic to foundational understanding of electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and the ability to read construction blueprints and single-line diagrams
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, proactive follow-through, and an eagerness to learn and grow within electrical project management
- Ability to travel periodically to support nationwide job sites during key project phases or site visits
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in the electrical trade
- Hands-on experience with modern construction management tools; familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam Revu is strongly preferred
