Job description

Summary

Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system dedicated to reimagining healthcare. The Imaging Student Intern role involves preparing and positioning patients, assisting technologists and physicians in imaging procedures, and administering contrast media and medications under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately
  • Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations

Skills

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
  • High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a radiology program and be in their senior year to be considered
