AI Fellow

Summary

Siemens Healthineers is a global medical technology company focused on pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. The Research Intern – AI Fellow will support AI development in medical imaging through image annotation, reporting, model validation, dataset curation, and collaboration with AI scientists, software developers, and clinical researchers.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert image annotation and structured reporting to support supervised learning for tasks such as detection, classification, segmentation, and quantification
• Collaborate closely with AI scientists, software developers, and clinical researchers to refine model performance and provide clinical insights
• Review and validate AI-generated outputs against radiologist standards to assess diagnostic quality and safety
• Participate in dataset curation, quality control, and protocol development for multimodal imaging data (e.g., chest X-ray, CT, MRI)

Skills

• Currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at a foreign degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the United States OR Has graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to his or her exchange visitor program start date
• A successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
• Radiology experience, especially focused on reading Chest CT
