The Company

Headquartered in Plano, Texas, asTech® is a leading provider of diagnostic solutions and services to the collision repair industry. asTech™, which stands for automotive service Technicians, is the first company of its kind to specialize in servicing vehicle electronics. The Company provides remote and in-shop automotive electronic services using its patented asTech™ device, performed by ASE-Certified Master Technicians. 

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Data Analyst, Entry will play a critical role in business analysis, and assisting business partners with their data source identification and analysis, data validation, and data preparation. Using data and analysis, will daily assist business in making decisions. Will also document and maintain records of created reports and make changes to existing reports.

Essential Functions

  • Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational or customer information needs.
  • Analyze and report on data to meet customer needs. Identify user needs from user requests and develop strategies by which to meet those needs.
  • Applies broad knowledge in providing data analytics services to business.
  • Gathers operational data to examine past business performance. Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Gather organizational performance information.
  • Other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Management, Data Analytics, Mathematics or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in an office environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills

Reports to:  President, International and New Ventures in Plano, TX

Supervisory Responsibility:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

FLSA Status:  This position is exempt.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.

  • Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment with limited exposure to customer repair facilities and vendor sites.

Travel:  This position may require travel during training period with minimal travel afterwards.  Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.
