Intern Trainee - NY

Summary

Atlas Technica is an IT management and user support company focused on serving hedge funds and investment firms. They are seeking an Intern Trainee to participate in a 90-day program that provides training and hands-on experience in IT service delivery, preparing individuals for a career in the IT/MSP space.

Responsibilities

• Learn to assist in the delivery of basic IT services to clients
• Learn and apply industry best practices and methodologies
• Learn to provide support to clients, both remotely and on-site, as needed
• Learn and apply troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve IT issues
• Learn to use a ticketing system to manage support queries

Skills

• A strong desire to learn and grow in the IT/MSP space
• Some experience with IT support (6 months to a year), or the A+ certification
• Ability to deliver great customer service (communicating clearly, managing expectations, following up)
• The candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, which include but are not limited to, the following; must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs; stand/sit for extended periods of time; push/pull; climb stairs; stoop, kneel or crouch; use fingers/hands to handle or feel; reach above head or below knee level; and the ability to work around machinery and material handling equipment
• Familiarity with Managed Service Provider operations
• Familiarity with Windows 10, Office 365
• Experience with basic TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with Windows Server 2016 or higher
• Should be able to intuitively troubleshoot
• Have good problem-solving skills
