IT Research Business Systems Analyst

Summary

The confidential organization is seeking an IT Research Business Systems Analyst to support its research administration and enterprise business systems. The role provides hands-on Oracle Cloud ERP implementation and functional support across Grants, Projects/PPM, and Accounts Receivable, while bridging end users, operational units, and technical development resources. The analyst will support requirements, configuration, data conversion and validation, testing, integrations, reporting, system performance, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• The role is focused on hands-on Oracle Cloud ERP implementation support, specifically across Grants, Projects/PPM, and Accounts Receivable
• The Business Systems Analyst provides essential functional support and expertise for Research Administration Systems (RAS), Accounts Receivables (AR) and related integrations or connected business processes in partnership with operational units (including Accounting, Research and Academic Departments) and technical units within IT
• The Business Systems Analyst provides a critical bridge between the end-users and technical development resources
• This position requires an advanced knowledge of the functional and technical aspects of system support (requirements, analysis, data, documentation) that extends through the design, programming, testing and implementation phases
• Problem solving and application of design principles and data structure, in combination with advanced technical knowledge facilitate the creation of solutions which improve and extend business applications
• Includes full command of maintenance and operational procedures in merging the business requirements with software functionalities, and ability to isolate key design dependancies and decision points, combined with exceptional documentation and communication (written and oral) are paramount to this position
• As a functional system analyst, incumbent is expected to understand and validate all system functions routinely and repetitively in order to confirm system performance and results, as well as ensure integrity during upgrades

Skills

• Oracle Cloud Grants, Projects and AR implementation and support Functional experience
• Candidates should also have experience with functional requirements, configuration, data conversion or validation, testing, integrations, and Oracle reporting tools such as BI Publisher or OTBI
• However, general PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, OCI, SQL, or BI experience alone will not meet the requirement without direct Oracle Cloud ERP implementation experience
• This position requires an advanced knowledge of the functional and technical aspects of system support (requirements, analysis, data, documentation) that extends through the design, programming, testing and implementation phases
