Summary
BAE Systems is an international defense, aerospace and security company delivering a full range of products and services. They are seeking Systems Software Engineering Interns to work with Embedded Systems, contributing to the development of software that protects those who serve.
Responsibilities
- Develop & Integrate: Work on understanding Systems and embedded software development for complex electronic systems
- Hands-On Testing: Step out of the code and into the lab, using professional test equipment to integrate and validate your software on actual hardware to align with Systems Requirements
- Collaborate: Work alongside seasoned engineers to solve intricate problems in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
Skills
- Currently entering your Senior year of an Engineering degree or pursuing a Master's degree
- A solid understanding of basic electronics
- Proficiency in at least one or more of the following: C++, Python, or MATLAB
- Must be a US Citizen eligible for a Secret Department of Defense (DoW) clearance
- Experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)
- Previous internship experience in embedded systems or software development
- A curiosity for how complex electronic systems communicate and function
- Understanding of radar principles
- Understanding of CPU, GPU, & FPGA Radar signal processing and control
- Understanding of Electro-optics principles
- Understanding of Digital Engineering

- Currently entering your Senior year of an Engineering degree or pursuing a Master's degree
- A solid understanding of basic electronics
