Summary

Barr Engineering Co. is a community of engineers, scientists, and professionals committed to exceptional service. They are seeking a Mid Level Civil Engineer to support project teams on civil engineering assignments, focusing on mining and industrial site development, while also managing project planning and design responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with the preparation of plans and specifications, analyzing alternatives, and developing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
  • Proposal development including defining work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budget. Planning, coordinating, and executing projects. Help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients
  • Support the growth and development of team members

Skills

  • Education: bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Experience: 5 or more years of related work experience
  • Software: experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Civil 3D
  • Licenses/certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
  • Driver's license: possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
  • Experience in civil site design, including grading, layout, and underground utilities
  • Prior involvement in industrial or heavy‑commercial site projects
  • 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
