Summary
BRUCE BOLT is a multi-sport glove brand focused on delivering high-performance gloves through premium materials, athlete feedback, and precise engineering. The Manager, Brand Communications & Partnerships will manage brand communications, partnerships, PR, influencer relationships, live experiences, and sports activations while coordinating agencies, partners, and internal teams. The role also involves writing brand materials, overseeing project execution, and frequent travel to events and activations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with PR, affiliate, creator, and activation agencies, ensuring priorities, deliverables, approvals, and follow-ups stay on track
- Serve as a primary contact for brand partners, sponsors, collaborators, influencers, and VIP ambassadors
- Lead the execution of partnership programs, brand activations, retail events, content shoots, and other live experiences
- Build and maintain clear project plans, timelines, trackers, activation details, and contractual deliverables
- Coordinate closely with Creative, Content, Social Media, Sports Marketing, and other internal teams to keep campaigns aligned on track
- Write and edit brand messaging, partnership materials, press releases, talking points, executive communications, and marketing copy
- Support PR, executive visibility, media, awards, speaking opportunities, and broader brand-building initiatives
- Research and help develop new collaborations, sponsorships, retail relationships, licensing opportunities, and cultural partnerships
- Travel ~twice per month to oversee events and activations, providing hands-on support from planning through execution and follow-up. Frequent travel is an essential part of this role. Travel will include sporting events, content shoots, field marketing/retail, partner meetings, and brand activations across the country, with some evening and weekend work during peak seasons
- This role will collaborate closely with the Sports Marketing team, which owns BRUCE BOLT’s professional athlete relationships and athlete strategy
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, sports management, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in brand communications, partnerships, sports marketing, PR, experiential marketing, agency account management, or a related field
- Professional experience in the sports industry is required
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with a love for trackers, timelines, and detailed execution
- Strong writing, editing, and communication abilities
- Experience managing agencies, partners, creative deliverables, approvals, and multiple overlapping projects
- Confidence working with executives, influencers, ambassadors, sponsors, retailers, media, and external partners
- A proactive, resourceful mindset and the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and thrive as priorities evolve
- A genuine passion for sports, culture, relationship building, and creating exceptional brand experiences
- Candidates should ideally be located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone or be able to consistently work those business hours
- Frequent travel is an essential part of this role
- Some evening and weekend work during peak seasons
- Agency experience is strongly preferred
