About the Department
Under general supervision, the Donor Relations Coordinator supports and executes donor engagement, communication, and stewardship strategies in a collaborative manner, while serving as a key point of contact for donors, students, and the public. This role also provides clerical, organizational, and administrative support for the Foundation, including but not limited to typing, data entry, reception, processing requisitions, managing incoming calls, and scheduling appointments.
Position Duties
- Implement donor communication strategies across email, print, and digital channels
- Develop and assist with impact reports and donor updates
- Support donor retention strategies and recognition programs
- Assist in planning and coordinating donor recognition and Foundation events
- Assist with scholarship application processes and student support services
- Support donor–recipient engagement and prepare stewardship reports
- Maintain and reconcile CRM data; utilize CRM to track donor engagement and generate reports
- Support reporting for fundraising initiatives
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, mail, and communications
- Handle incoming calls, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries
- Schedule donor meetings and appointments on behalf of Foundation leadership
- Submit work orders and coordinate maintenance of office equipment
- Serve as recording secretary for Board of Directors and committee meetings
- Organize and coordinate monthly Board of Directors meetings and Annual Meeting, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up
- Provide assistance to students and staff regarding Foundation support
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Office Systems Technology, Secretarial Science, Business, or a related field
- Two or more years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels, including College staff and donors
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to support events
Other Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in nonprofit
- Proven ability to work with diverse population including administration, faculty, staff, students, and donors
