Summary
California State University Dominguez Hills, Toro Auxiliary Partners is seeking a Digital Communications & Visibility Intern to assist in promoting the Reentry Entrepreneurship Accelerator (REA) project. The role involves updating the project website, managing social media content, and creating accessible materials to communicate project updates effectively.
Responsibilities
- Help build and keep the project website up to date using no-code or AI-assisted tools
- Apply accessibility standards to web content — clear headings, image descriptions, readable on any device
- Post project updates and partner highlights on social media accounts
- Write short, plain-language content explaining what the project is doing and why it matters
- Create simple graphics and slide content for meetings and presentations
- Tag partners and relevant organizations to grow the project's reach online
- Help prepare accessible materials for Advisory Board meetings and funder updates
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student at CSUDH
- Active on at least one social media platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, or similar)
- Clear written communication; ability to write for a general audience without jargon
- Basic comfort with digital tools
- Willingness to learn no-code website and AI-assisted content tools
- Attention to accessibility and plain-language standards
- Respect for the dignity and privacy of justice-impacted individuals
- Lived experience with the reentry process is welcomed and valued
