Job description
Summary
Cambium Learning Group is an educational technology solutions company providing individualized and differentiated instruction resources and products. The Financial Analyst supports project-level financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, revenue assurance, billing integrity, and financial analysis while partnering with Finance, Project Management, and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Performs financial analysis, reviews budget vs. actuals reports, and revises project forecasts
- Performs monthly project reviews with project management to ensure consistent and accurate project data, identification of potential contract issues, additional contract scope, etc
- Performs monthly project reviews with senior management to provide current financial overview and escalate any potential issues requiring senior management involvement identified during project management monthly review
- Works with project management to price services out of contract scope and coordinates review and approval with senior management
- Works with project management to review and ensure accurate monthly client billings according to contract terms
- Supports departmental cost accounting
- Reviews collection issues and escalates issues as necessary
- Assists in creation of project budgets
Skills
- • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- • 2+ years of experience in corporate or project finance
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- • Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
- • Thorough understanding of project management
- • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Job Location: Remote, US. Must live & work with United States
- Experience with Percent Complete accounting a plus
