Job description

Summary

Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner helping organizations accelerate digital and sustainable transformation. The Manager (Test Consultant) will design and develop test plans, oversee testing phases, coordinate issue resolution, develop test automation tools and scripts, and ensure software quality throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design/develop test plans/scenarios & monitor their execution
  • Oversee all phases of the testing process (acceptance testing, system & integration testing of system design, and program & module testing) under direction of a Senior Manager
  • Conduct impact and gap analysis and coordinate issue resolution
  • Oversee software testing and debugging of existing systems, and the design and development of tools and testing programs to identify issues and create repeatable test automation models
  • Develop test scripts and perform code reviews
  • Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for customization
  • Identify software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers
  • Perform independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process
  • Research and log root cause analysis for the reported bugs and ensure resolution and final testing
  • Review test cases and test scenarios and interpret test results in relation to acceptance criteria
  • Work with program management and development team to ensure quality and track progress per the project scope/delivery date

Skills

  • Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business, Math, Information Technology, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience
  • In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business, Math, Information Technology, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience
  • Must have one (1) year of IT work experience using one of the following skill sets: 1. Agile test methodology, Postman, and Snowflake; 2. Integration and functional testing using Azure DevOps, Selenium, and UFT; 3. SCCM, SCOM, and Power BI; 4. SOAP UI, Postman, and Selenium; OR 5. SQL, ETL testing, and Python
  • All experience may be acquired concurrently
  • Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs
  • Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths
