Summary
Carrier Johnson + Culture (CJ+C) is a design firm that emphasizes creativity and collaboration. As a Designer, you will support teams in delivering innovative design projects, focusing on user-centered experiences while working on a diverse portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project designer and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and project execution
- Address complex design challenges with creative and practical solutions
- Engage in all project phases, including conceptual design, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and production
- Work with design teams, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals
- Assist in the management of client expectations, team communication, and coordination with consultants
- Participate in office initiatives, activities, and professional development programs
- Create graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
- Apply hand-rendering techniques to effectively convey design concepts
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited institution
- 1-5 years of relevant project experience
- Skilled in 3D modeling software, Revit + SketchUp, Enscape, and/or other modeling software such as Rhino
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUp
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and accessibility standards
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and certifications
- Eagerness to build collaborative relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Actively working towards licensure is a plus
