Summary
Carter Psychology Center provides psychology and clinical practice services. The Remote Data Administrator will manage clinical and administrative databases, process patient information, maintain electronic health records, generate operational reports, support data workflows, and ensure secure, HIPAA-compliant systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage, update, and audit primary electronic health databases to ensure patient records, clinical evaluations, and administrative files are accurately indexed
- Monitor data entry pipelines, clean legacy files, and resolve system discrepancies via secure remote administrative channels
- Compile and generate weekly and monthly operational, billing, and patient activity reports to support administrative decision-making
- Coordinate with administrative leads and clinical practitioners to streamline data workflows, user access, and electronic file transfers
- Enforce strict data security policies, access controls, and HIPAA regulations to safeguard Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) from a private home workspace
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2–4 years of experience in data administration, database management, or health information systems
- Advanced proficiency in database management software, Microsoft Excel (data tables, formulas, reporting), and cloud-based systems
- Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) platforms and healthcare data standards
- Reliable high-speed internet and a private home office environment suited for remote database administration
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and data precision
- High ethical standards regarding data privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, or Business Administration
