Job description

Summary

CETech is a local IT Managed Service Provider seeking a Level 1 Junior Systems Administrator to join their team. The role involves providing technical support to clients, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the IT team to maintain client systems effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to clients as the first line of defense
  • Troubleshooting software glitches and resolving network connectivity issues
  • Assisting with hardware/software installations
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly, whether in person, over the phone, or electronically
  • Collaborating closely with the IT team to maintain clients' systems up-to-date and running smoothly

Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Windows in a commercial environment
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common productivity software
  • Intermediate Level: Windows desktop OS skills
  • Intermediate Level: Apple MacOS skills
  • Beginner-Intermediate Level: Windows Server
  • Beginner-Intermediate Level: Network, UTM, Firewalls, Inter-intranet
  • Intermediate Level: MSO365 and Google apps
  • Strong understanding of information technology principles and network systems
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools
  • Must have good troubleshooting skills, ability to self manage and find solutions
  • Must have or pass CompTIA A+ exam within 6 months
